Pet Requirements for Daycare, Boarding & Grooming
PAWS requirements are designed to protect every dog and cat in our care. Current vaccinations, parasite prevention, age guidelines, and safe handling standards help us create a cleaner, healthier, safer environment for all guests.
Before your pet visits PAWS for daycare, boarding, grooming, or any service that involves shared spaces, we need current records on file and enough time for vaccines to take effect. These standards are not just paperwork — they are part of what keeps the PAWS family safe.
Before Your Visit
Please make sure your pet’s vaccination records are current and submitted before arrival.
Health First
Current vaccines help reduce the risk of preventable illness in a shared pet-care environment.
Safe Group Care
Daycare and group play require friendly pets, current records, and appropriate temperament screening.
Individual Care Matters
Older pets, disabled pets, and aged or infirm pets are welcome, with reasonable latitude when appropriate.
Your pet must be up to date on the following requirements to help ensure a safe stay with us. Please bring proof of current immunizations or provide records before your pet’s appointment, evaluation, daycare visit, grooming visit, or boarding stay.
Rabies
Rabies vaccination must be current and documented. Rabies protection is a basic safety requirement for dogs and cats.
Annual Bordetella / Kennel Cough
Bordetella helps protect against kennel cough and is required annually for dogs using shared-care services.
DHLPP
DHLPP includes Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parainfluenza, and Parvovirus.
Monthly Flea & Tick Preventative
Pets must be maintained on monthly flea and tick preventative medication to help protect the facility and every guest in care.
Vaccinations should be given at least seven days prior to arrival so your pet has time to develop protection before entering daycare, boarding, grooming, or shared-care spaces.
