The Linked Interval Positioning System TM, well I never figured my quest to explore and explain all of the available grooming accessories would lead me into the seedy underworld of doggy BDSM but I guess it did. Again this is just another attempt to build a better mousetrap. With the proper preparation enough straps, chains, harnesses and bars I reckon I could groom an angry orangutan if I had to. Dog grooming on the professional level is supposed to be a smooth, efficient process that revolves around using the simplest tools needed for the job.
In the Marine Corps we had the KISS method of doing things or the ‘Keep It Simple Stupid’ way. When you over complicate things and add tons of additional hardware to the process it becomes laborious and time consuming to set everything up needed to groom a simple dog. Aside from the chains and submission harness I don’t really see much unique about this system. It consists of an overhead grooming arm which we have already covered, some quick release grooming straps (covered later) and that’s pretty much it. In examining the images I can see one strap goes around the neck, another around the waist and for dogs that sit another strap goes between the rear legs and connects to the lower grooming arm to keep them standing.
In looking at other images of the product there appears to be a knock off way to use it like a groomers helper by attaching a clasp from an eye bolt on the lower portion of the grooming arm to the bottom of the quick release under the head. Basically this secures the dogs head from going either up or down, left or right in order to prevent it from spinning. Maybe this works like a charm and truly is the next best thing since real butter, but to me it looks complicated and unnecessary to complete the task at hand. I can do everything this item can with three nooses and a standard grooming arm and it won’t cost me the over $250.00 that this company is asking for in order to have their product. My vote, pass…
